Our Esoerotic Logo
We get a lot of people asking about the meaning of our studio logo, and to probably no one’s surprise, there is a helluvalot of occulted symbolism and intention embedded into the artwork!
Our logo is steeped in occult and mystical meaning, but if you’re still reading this, I trust you are ready to be initiated into the Minx + Muse mystery teachings!
First, the large squiggly “snake-like” shape is indeed an abstracted serpent!
The serpent holds powerful esoteric meaning, including…
🐍 Sexuality, sexual energy, sexual passion, and sexual desire
🐍 Rebirth and renewal
🐍 Wisdom and ancient knowledge
🐍 The serpent is the high priestess, who embodies the divine feminine and serves as a guide into the subconscious darkness to acquire self understanding, spiritual knowledge, and mystical power.
🐍 It is the kundalini, the serpent goddess coiled at the base of the spine, which rises through the center of the body to awaken our life force energy and open us to higher consciousness.
🐍 In ancient Egypt, the serpent was represented on the crowns of Pharaohs as a sign of sovereignty and connection to the divine.
🐍 The energy of the serpent is represented by Medusa: the wise dark moon goddess, the keeper of the spiritual mysteries, and the goddess of death and rebirth.
🐍 The serpent is Lilith in the garden of Eden (more on that later…)
I could go on and on, and encourage you to dive deeper into the occult meaning of the serpent!
In many cultures and religions, the serpent is seen as evil and demonic, as something to be feared.
But at Minx + Muse, we harness the energy of the serpent to reclaim our sexual sovereignty, to connect with the wisdom of the feminine, to unveil the mystical mysteries of the darkness, and ultimately shed perceived limitations so we may live in our utmost truth and potential!
The second element of our logo is the moon symbol to the right of the serpent. This is an elongated representation of the astrological Black Moon Lilith glyph.
Black Moon Lilith is…
🌙 Our subconscious, the depth of our psyche, our innate instinct, our hidden truth
🌙 Our sexual energy
🌙 Our hidden desires and arousal
🌙 Where we’ve been shamed, but as a way to separate us from our power
🌙 Our desire to be freed from societal limitations and expectation
🌙 It is the embodiment of the dark feminine
Lilith is a powerful dark goddess, but just as we saw with the serpent, she has been demonized and vilified throughout many cultures and religious teachings.
In more feminine-empowered interpretations, Lilith is said to have been the “first Eve”, created as an equal to Adam, and outcast when she refused to be subservient and lie beneath him. It’s also suggested that she was the serpent in the Garden of Eden, who served to “awaken” Eve by having her eat from the tree of knowledge.
Volumes of text and research could be presented on this topic, and in alignment with our studio value of “sovereignty”, I encourage you to dive deeper!
Ultimately, the serpent and dark goddess Lilith are two major energies explored and expressed at the studio. They teach us that our power lies in the taboo darkness of sexuality and magickal teachings—demonstrating how these concepts work hand in hand—and why we explore both erotic movement and witchcraft at Minx + Muse!
