Minx + Muse was founded in 2017 by Crimson Minx. The Minx + Muse studio—located in Austin, TX–was the first of its kind to offer classes both in sensual dance and witchcraft. Under this umbrella of dark feminine devotion, Minx + Muse was a voice for pole dance as embodiment versus fitness (and was the only pole studio in the world that did not teach or allow inversions or aerial tricks) and also created an open coven that taught eclectic witchcraft to anyone interested in exploring magick as a non-dogmatic practice (often a challenge in a state highly influenced by by Christina fundamentalism).
Though being used as a way to describe the dance and witchy workings at the studio since opening its doors, "Esoeroticism™" was formally trademarked in 2018 as the ownable methodology and inspiration of studio offerings. At its essence, Esoeroticism is a way to access sexual energy outside of intercourse and is rooted in the chaos magick technique of gnosis. More specifically, Esoerotic dance is a method to reclaim our bodies and sexual sovereignty, and Esoerotic witchcraft is how we then wield this energy so we may be the ultimate creatrix of our lives.
In 2020, the world got a little weird. And as the physical studio was forced to temporarily shut down, the Minx + Muse Multiverse was born. It started as a way to continue offering classes on Zoom to our existing members during quarantine, but we soon realized that we were able to connect with amazing babes all over the world, and that actually a lot of our classes worked even better connecting from the comfort of our homes! Though returning to in-person a few months later, the Minx + Muse virtual offerings remained, and it was the beginning of a second facet of the studio: our virtual coven!

In 2024, the Minx + Muse studio was sold and rebranded as Vespertine. The physical space, instructors, and classes remain, and we recommend you check it out next time you are in Austin! But Crimson was ready to return to the east coast; the incessant call of her mistress—the sea—had grown too loud to ignore. At the time of this writing, Crimson is in the midst of finding a new home for Minx + Muse in coastal Carolina.

Though not visioned as a studio as it was in Austin, the new Minx + Muse space is planned to resurrect as a private property to host retreats, Esoerotic certifications, and perhaps even some local classes in early 2025.
There is so much magick to come, and we are so humbled and honored for everyone—past, present, and future—who has been a part of this transformative, magickal journey.
